I guess you've already figured it out, but my blogging mojo is gone. It left in the haze before Christmas and just didn't come back.
We're all well and I'm still knitting, but life is just too hectic right now. I hope to be back sometime!

Two Peas in a Pod
Well, not quite – these two sisters are as different as they come – but at least the hats are (almost) the same!
One with eyelets and one without, but both hats with pom poms. Ravelry notes here and here. A very quick and easy knit, recommended pattern! (I love the yarn as well, DROPS Baby Alpaca Silk, although it has started to pill a bit.)

All I Want for Christmas
..is my own version of this super cozy and warm cowl:
It's knit with one thread Kidsilk Haze (to give it that fluff) and one thread Madelinetosh pashmina (my favorite yarn from now on) in brioche stitch – a fast and fun stitch! Ravelry notes here.
This one's a gift, but I'm determined to make another for myself when I have some free time on my hands.. In 2016!?

Ravelry Favorites, Week 48
I've recently discovered a great knitting webzine from Japan: Amirisu. This week's favorites are all taken from the fall 2012 issue of Amirisu. I'm not sure all of them are for me (the skirt would be less than flattering), but I love the Eastern, ornamental feel of the patterns.

Ravelry Favorites, Week 47
Cable-mania! I've recently gotten quite obsessed. If you haven't tried knitting cables before, don't be intimidated - it's much easier than it looks!

(Loving the hat, I'm knitting one for each daughter at the moment)

Shopping Tip of the Day: Knitty Mug
Isn't this just THE best mug for a knitter? I've treated myself to a couple from Åhléns, and on my needles right now is this cable hat. Talk about theme-o-rama!

Never Say Never
No sooner had I taken a break from blogging than a request on Ravelry made me (at long last) put up a pattern page for my Clock cozy. And whoa, the pattern (although I hesitate to call it a pattern, it's more of a guide) is suddenly in 106 queues and I can see the visits numbers to my blog spiking. So I guess I'm back in the saddle! Come back this Friday for some Ravelry favorites!
